I strive to create a collaborative therapeutic environment that is nonjudgmental, safe, empathic, and supportive. Through therapy, I aim to help my clients gain new insights, perspectives, and tools to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. My passion for therapy lies in bearing witness to clients gaining greater understanding of themselves, along with recognizing their inner strengths and personal resilience. I work with adolescents and adults presenting with mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, trauma, identity concerns, and substance abuse histories. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and through the therapeutic relationship, you can discover new perspectives and clarity on personal challenges. By recognizing the impact of existing thought patterns, behaviors, and approaches on your current functioning, therapy can provide new tools and insight to help you achieve greater balance and well-being. In my therapy work, I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches to alleviate symptoms and improve one’s quality of life. In addition, I enjoy conducting psychological assessments to address cognitive, personality, and emotional functioning. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I also hold a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago. I have a range of experiences working in various settings, including private practice, community mental health centers, intensive outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and a government vocational training center.
