About Dr. Reshma Patel
Dr. Reshma S. Patel is a highly skilled and compassionate optometrist with a strong academic background and a wealth of clinical experience. After earning her Dual Bachelors Degree in Biology and Economics from Binghamton University, SUNY, she completed her Doctor of Optometry Degree at the SUNY State College of Optometry.
Dr. Patel’s professional expertise was honed through training at various esteemed private practices and multidisciplinary healthcare settings in New York and Connecticut, including the West Haven VA Hospital. Her clinical focus includes primary eye care, contact lens exams, and ocular disease, with particular expertise in cataracts, dry eye disease, glaucoma, and diabetes-related eye conditions. She prides herself on building strong, meaningful doctor-patient relationships and providing personalized care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Prior to moving to Connecticut, she was deeply involved in the New York State Optometric Association, where she served as Secretary for the local chapter (WRPOS) and as a representative for the Young Advocates Committee. Dr. Patel is currently an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists and has recently been selected to participate in the 2025 AOA Leadership Institute.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, baking, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is passionate about serving the Middlesex County community and is dedicated to providing high-quality eye care to all her patients.

I had an amazing experience here. Everyone there was friendly and easy to talk to, and they made the whole exam feel super comfortable. Scheduling was so easy, and when I got there, Dr. Patel actually took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes, which I appreciated. They also helped me pick out a pair of glasses that fit my style, which is important because I typically am very picky, but I’m really excited to wear the ones we chose! 100% a place I’d recommend if you want good care and nice frames.

I visited 4 Eyes in search of a new doctor and can confidently say this new optometry practice has set the bar incredibly high—the experience was seamless, professional, and refreshingly thorough.
Dr. Patel’s expertise and professionalism were evident at every step. It’s rare to find a doctor who is not only highly knowledgeable but also takes the time to explain everything in detail and ensure you feel heard. She performed the most comprehensive eye exam I have ever had—methodical, patient, and incredibly informative.
You would never guess this practice is newly opened based on the level of service and attention to detail. 4eyes already operates like a well-established office—and that speaks volumes about Dr. Patel’s leadership, experience, and commitment to excellence.

I was in search of a new optometrist and happened to find 4 Eyes Optometry driving by and was following it throughout its opening process. They have such a seamless appointment setting process, everything inside is so modern and clean looking. I loved seamless workflow and that n office is finally in he 21st century utilizing technology compared to other antiquated offices.
Their Maui Jim display case is simply amazing! Definitely recommend checking them out!
I see them being a disruptor in this space if the first location is any indication.
5/5 stars for service, technology, eyeglasses selection and more. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Patel saw my 7-year-old son and did such an amazing job. She made him feel so comfortable (it was his first eye exam ever). They have a great selection of glasses, the office is very clean and has nice, bright decor. I liked her and her staff so much that I ended up making an appointment with her for myself at the end of my son’s appointment, leaving my current eye place of 10 years. Highly recommend! She is very intelligent, thorough, sociable, and kind! So glad I found this office!

My 12 year old daughter had a fantastic experience at 4 Eyes Optometrist! Dr. Patel was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain everything during her eye exam. She made me feel comfortable and confident in her eye care. Ashley was also amazing—super helpful and friendly while assisting me and my daughter with frame selection and answering all my questions. The whole team was professional and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommend 4 Eyes if you're looking for quality care and great service!

I ended up in Cromwell for a different reason and came upon 4 Eyes randomly. I thought I'd pop into the store and check it out and boy am I happy that I did. The store looks great and the staff were wonderful and kind and even though they had other patients with appointments, made time available to sit with me and help me. Everyone was knowledgable and efficient and, most importantly, incredibly patient with me (sometimes I need things explained to me more than once:)). Thanks to everyone at 4 Eyes. Hopefully you'll open a location nearer to Norwalk soon?!

Every time I visit, the experience is always pleasant, and I receive exactly the help I need. The assistant is especially helpful and takes the time to recommend glasses that match my style. They also carry a wide selection of brands that you won’t find at most other eyewear stores. I’ve already purchased two pairs of frames from them, and I couldn’t be happier with the quality and service.
