Hello, I am a Florida-licensed psychologist with approximately 30 years of clinical experience. My career has been centered on helping individuals work through various life concerns with the aim of realizing better emotional and cognitive functioning, achieving goals, and improving their overall quality of life. Typical concerns I help individuals address include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship and family challenges, major life transitions, chronic pain and health-related concerns, caregiver stress, and personal growth.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach in psychotherapy is to listen intently to an individual's concerns, understand their needs, help to clarify and achieve their objectives and goals, focus on their individual strengths, while also providing guidance and support using the tools of empathy, education, and humor.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Starting on our first session, I will listen intently with empathy to your presenting concerns and issues. I will ask clarifying questions to help understand your feelings and needs. Overall, we will focus on clarifying your concerns and create your treatment goals and objectives. During our first session, I can help sort out your priorities and help to identify any underlying issues that may be hindering your ability to live your best life.
