About Dr. Rick McManus

Rick McManus, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University Forest Grove Campus College of Optometry in 1985, graduating second in his class. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Visual Science from the University of Washington in 1981. His fields of special interest include contact lenses and ocular health management. As an Optometric Physician, Dr. McManus diagnoses and treats conditions of the human eye. One reason he became an optometrist was his desire to help people achieve their best possible vision. He particularly enjoys the one-on-one time he spends with his patients and getting to know them, some of whom are third-generation patients. His priority is to treat each patient as if they were a member of his family. Dr. McManus believes it is essential for every patient to thoroughly understand the status of their ocular health and be knowledgeable about all possible options available to them. When he is not treating patients, Dr. McManus loves spending time with his family. They enjoy snow skiing, playing golf, and traveling.
