About Dr. Robert DiGiacomo

Dr. DiGiacomo received his Bachelors degree in biology from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and his Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where he graduated with clinical and academic honors. Dr. DiGiacomo began his career as medical officer in the United States Navy where he spent three years providing comprehensive eye care to active duty and retired service members. During his time in service he served as director of the optometry branch clinic at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA. As head clinician he was responsible for ensuring the deployment readiness of over 3,000 marines as well as providing acute care for combat related eye injuries. In addition to his military service Dr. DiGiacomo provided clinical instruction to 3rd and 4th year optometry students as clinical adjunct professor at the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. DiGiacomo is a founding member of Garden State Eye Group where he provides comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease prevention and management as well as specialty contact lens services.
