About Dr. Roman Golas

Dr. Roman Golas was born in Ukraine and relocated to the Sacramento area with his family at a young age. He pursued his undergraduate education at University of California Santa Cruz where he studied Biological Sciences. He later attended The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2017. During his clinical training, Dr. Golas completed a rotation at the VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia with a concentration on the diagnosis and management of macular degeneration and glaucoma. He remains dedicated to advancing his expertise in ocular disease and incorporating the latest technologies to provide patients with optimal vision correction, whether through glasses or contact lenses. Fluent in Ukrainian and competent in Russian, Dr. Golas is proud to be a member of the Eye Designs team. He is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional eye care and sharing his knowledge to help patients improve their vision and meet their ocular health needs.
