About Dr. Ruhi Mathew

Dr. Ruhi Mathew is a residency-trained, board-certified optometrist specializing in comprehensive eye care. She graduated with a B.S. in Integrative Neuroscience from SUNY Binghamton before earning her doctorate from Salus University (PCO) at Drexel University. She further refined her expertise in managing complex eye conditions by completing a residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision/Traumatic Brain Injury at the West Haven VA. Her extensive training allows her to address a wide range of visual health concerns, such as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, as well as various binocular vision disorders. Dr. Mathew is an active member of both the Connecticut Association of Optometrists (CAO) and the American Optometric Association (AOA), staying current on the latest advancements in eye care and treatment options. When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Mathew enjoys spending time with her partner and their two orange cats. She is thrilled to provide high-quality eye care through a compassionate approach.
