Dr. Ruwani was very sweet! She showed a lot of concern and was an intent listener. She has had a lot of experience and she really showed that in her confidence. I would recommend her to anyone who needs to see a neurologist!
Dr. G was nice and very knowledgeable. She seemed rather preoccupied with many things going on, but my migraine has subsided already. She seriously knows her stuff.
Had an MRI done as she suggested. She looked at one picture, read the technicians notes and made that what the technician wrote as her final determination. Huh?! She's the doctor! I can read! As a doctor it is her job to asses the MRI, she didn't do that, but wanted me to come back for somethings else that was more money.
Wait time was long, but I was told Fridays are their worst day as far as that goes. Loved the doctor. Just scheduled my follow up for a Tuesday lol
She quickly assessed what was wrong and followed up personally the next day to check on my progress.
very careless. spent little time on me. plus the people that work in the office are inept.
Dr. had wonderful bedside manner and answered all my questions. She spent time with me and explained what the next steps would be. I highly recommend her.
She was the first doctor that took fibromyalgia seriously. Happy that I saw her.
She was very nice and kind but very fast. I had a hard time keeping up with what she was saying and I'm in the medical field. It was a little overwhelming. She scheduled a lot of other appointments very quickly. She does work with her husband who is a pain management doctor. Yet I did find she was kind she even game me her cell phone number to text her if I need anything.
LONG wait for a very short appointment. However, she did figure out what was bothering me after two years of nobody being able to tell me what was going on, so she knows her stuff.
The appointment occurred right on time. Her questions narrowed quickly to my concerns. She identified my concerns better than I did and quickly identified tests to investigate the physiological causes. I was very pleased with the diagnostic procedures, the findings and the recommended followup. My next visit is in a week! Unbelievably fast.
Dr. Gunawardane is a wonderful and caring neurologist. I have watched the steady decline in my mother's functions from Parkinson's disease for the past two years. In just two weeks, I see a resurgence of the very strong and intelligent person I always knew. It is great to see her becoming more independent and to see the sparkle in her eyes again. I am thankful the quality of her life is improving.
Dr. G paid attention to all the past medical details (complicated) and was able to educate us on its effects towards my husbands current situation. She is the first doctor in three years to give us a ray of hope with the progression of memory loss
Dr. G was amazing. So informative and eager to help me. I've suffered with chronic migraines almost my whole life. Most doctors tell me there isn't anything they can do for me. Not Dr. G - she is doing everything she can to try to help me!! Trial meds, tests to rule out anything really bad, etc. Her office staff was also AMAZING. Checking in was easy, checking out was even easier. They did everything they could to make my experience as painless as possible.
I am most impressed about her attitude to help her patients. She seems to have a quick grasp of the issue and gave several options for medications and other things that could be done right away. Her caring encouragement was much needed and a wonderful surprise. She connects immediately and listens intently when you answer her questions. We have much hope now that she will be able to help my granddaughter get better control of her medical problem. I highly recommend her if you have severe headaches and have tried other doctors with no result.
The doctor was thorough and accurate regarding the diagnosis. The wait time to see her was appalling. More than one hour.
Dr. Gunawardane was so personal and so friendly and really took the time to listen to all of my concerns. I went through a lot of doctors who never believed me or listened to me, but she did. She was really great and I highly recommend her to anyone!
Amazing!!!! Longer wait time was understandable because it was my first visit so it made sense. Would still give 5 stars even on the wait time because lobby area was well kept and clean
My visit infuriated me. The doctor would not listen to what I had to say, and diagnosed me before even looking at the MRI results I brought her. I tried to explain to her multiple times that I've not had any pain or discomfort at all and she insisted on documenting that I have. This doctor also had to leave in the middle of my appointment to keep another patient from leaving the office. I requested a note to clear me to travel back to work and she wouldn't listen to what I needed in the note. Because she had to leave to stop another patient from leaving she had the nurse come in to assist with the note which myself and my husband had to basically dictate for him. The doctor requested I come back and I informed her multiple times that I live out of the US and I won't be back until 29 Jun 2016. When we went to leave and chat office personnel to get the note signed from the doctor, the employee said that the doctor indicated I should come back on 6 June. I expressed that I would not be back in the country until the end of June and that I already told the doctor that but clearly the doctor has a problem with her listening skills cause she didn't listen to ANYTHING I said the entire visit. The doctor then charged me an additional $35 on top of my co-pay to provide me with the same letter to clear me for returning to work that she didn't even type and in reality my husband and I type. This doctor was AWFUL!
This was my first time seeing Dr. Gunawardane. I thought she was nice and had good bedside manner and appears knowledgeable. My only critique would be the wait. I waited close to an hour and a half to see the doctor and this was my first visit. I was told other emergencies had come up, but nonetheless, no one enjoys sitting in a office that long. And if situations were reversed I doubt they would care about my emergencies.
Its clear that Dr. Gunawardane cares about your well being and what you are going through. I've been to plenty doctors that go through the motions and she is definitely not one of them. She's attentive and caring.
I had such high hopes after my 1st appt w/Dr Gunawardane but unfortunately, all of her words did match her actions. After my first visit, all other visits were incredibly rushed (Dr flying through exam room for maybe a few mins) and included waiting times of 40 mins to 2 hours. Although the Dr insisted I obtain hard copies of multiple ordered MRIs & tests so that she could personally review, she never did. It was one let down after another. I'm out a lot of money and time with zero progress in my quest for health answers. Also, it seems the Dr and her office staff are completely out of sync.
Office was very nice, clean and welcoming. I was unable to see the doctor because I didn't have the money to pay my deductible and new patient fee. I was not aware they were due in the office.
