My name is Dr. Sammy Haskins and I graduated Auburn University Summa Cum Laude in 2020. I then matriculated at the UAB School of Optometry in 2021 after working as a technician for a year. I graduated from UABSO in 2025 and won the Dean's Award of Excellence. A fun fact about me in optometry school is that I was the 3rd place finisher in the AOSA Optometry Student Bowl as a 3rd year. I am currently completing an ocular disease residency at the Tuscaloosa VA. Some of my favorite hobbies and interests are basketball, snowboarding, golf, cooking, and exploring local cuisine.
