“if I had any issues it was because of my insurance company and not the clinic itself. the lady at the front desk didn't have the best English but she was sweet and still made sure to get her point across, which I really appreciate. I was a student so I couldn't afford to pay for my glasses in one sitting but let me pay for it in installments which was very helpful. ”

About Dr. Sandra Tenzer
Dr. Sandra Tenzer is a primary care optometrist passionate about providing quality eye care personalized to the needs of each individual. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
During her graduate studies, Dr. Tenzer worked to expand the scope of optometric practice as Vice-President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Student Association. She has worked directly with well-renowned cataract and refractive surgeons throughout her career, gaining experience with complex ocular conditions including retinal vein occlusion, corneal dystrophies, amblyopia, and uveitis.
Dr. Tenzer provides comprehensive eye examinations at Elite Eye Care in Washington Heights. She has a special interest in glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular inflammation, and cataracts. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association. In her free time, Dr. Tenzer enjoys playing pool, tennis, painting, and traveling.

DO NOT COME HERE! Pick someone else! Sandra Tenzer has Terrible bedside manner and poor communication. Dr. Sandra Tenzer barely spoke during the exam, came across cold, and when she handed me a contact lens trails, that wasn’t even my prescription, she brushed me off by saying it ‘might be a little blurry.’ That’s unacceptable — patients deserve clear information about their eye health, not vague answers and attitude. I left feeling frustrated and unsafe trusting her with my vision. She didn’t answer any questions and didn’t ask me any either. I would never recommend her anyone

I had to fill out forms again in person, and it was in Spanish. While I speak Spanish, reading it is different. I don’t think I saw the doctor I booked with, and I am not sure if my diagnosis was correct I guess I’ll see in a couple of days if my eye clears up.

Worst , I am on Medicaid and I just went to get new prescription for my eye glasses and they did some procedure ( some machine to check eye ) I was not aware and I was not told , insurance has denied those claims and I am filing complain to insurance as well as to Medicaid .
