About Dr. Sarah Lechanski
Trust, care, and family are values I live by both personally and professionally. It is important to me that my patients trust me and are cared for as if they were my own family members. I take the time to listen to each patient's needs and lifestyle to personalize their treatment plan and ensure high-quality, efficient eye care.
I am Dr. Sarah Lechanski, an optometrist with over a decade of experience. I focus on total family eye care, including comprehensive eye examinations for ages 4 and up, medical eye care, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, emergency eye care for issues such as eye infections and foreign bodies, contact lens fittings, LASIK consultations, and surgical co-management.
I earned my Doctor of Optometry from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Niagara University, where I graduated cum laude. Before moving to Fairfield County, I served as an FDA clinical sub-investigator for the treatment of presbyopia. I have volunteered my time and expertise to provide eye care in Guatemala and continue to seek ways to serve the eye care needs of the community.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, I am no stranger to cold winters. I have enjoyed the palm trees while living in Tampa, FL, endured the Windy City of Chicago, and have now planted roots in Connecticut with my husband and two children. I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time outdoors, and I look forward to welcoming my patients to this new location.

Dr Lechanski and her team are terrific! Her staff is very friendly and efficient. Dr Lechanski took the time to walk thru all the aspects of my eye health including checking for cataracts, glaucoma and other potential eye concerns. My visit was pleasant and individualized. There wasn't a waiting room full of people waiting for their appts like other doctors offices I have used in the past. I would definitely recommend Dr Lechanski to my friends and family!

Maybe one of the most modern doctor's offices I've ever walked into. I saw the back of my eye and my retina in clear detail, pretty impressive stuff!
doctor was very informative and discovered I was farsighted and prescribed me some reading glasses, which I'm grateful for because as I age I would prefer to have decent eyes as long as possible haha. She spared no details, proved her work in front of me and didn't rush me out the door.

My husband came here after not having good experiences with other doctors, and coming here he was so happy to be seen by Dr.Lechanski. She explained everything to him regarding what she was seeing in the exam and she was so sweet and patient the whole time. She’s amazing.
