About Dr. Sarah Silverman
Sarah Silverman, MD, is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who has been practicing in New York City since 2008. Dr. Silverman focuses her practice on adult and adolescent (12 years and up) allergy evaluation and management, including allergic rhinitis (hay fever), asthma, sinus issues, allergies to foods, insects, and drugs, as well as eczema and other allergic skin conditions such as contact dermatitis, urticaria, and angioedema. Additionally, she has considerable expertise in immune-deficiency evaluation and has presented at regional and national conferences on topics related to primary immunodeficiency. She is passionate about the patient experience, as reflected in her internet presence. Her patients describe her as personable, thoughtful, and thorough.
After receiving a master’s degree in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Silverman earned her Doctor of Medicine from Rush University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Prior to joining Hudson Allergy, she served as an assistant professor at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Silverman is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; and a member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society.
