“I am new to NY and made this appointment after trying a different doctors office closer to where I live. It was a horrible experience from the counter to the surgery counselor at the end of visit.
Dr. Modi spent explained everything to me, asked if I had a question and handed me off to his surgery scheduler. The whole process was so efficient, thorough, and everyone was so pleasant. You can tell the staff is happy, which is a good sign. It was very clean and the waiting area was spacious even though the operation was so swift, no one was there long. I cannot reccomend him and the team enough.”

About Dr. Satish Modi
Satish Modi, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C) is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and LASIK Surgeon in New York where he has been providing medical eye care and surgical eye care to patients in the Hudson Valley region for over 25 years. At his offices in Poughkeepsie & Yorktown he provides LASIK, Custom LASIK and All Laser LASIK Surgery as well as other types of Laser Eye Surgery. Dr. Modi's frequent lectures and course presentations have resulted in his being recognized internationally as an Ophthalmic Surgeon with expertise in Cataract Surgery in New York and Lens Implants including presbyopia correcting intraocular lenses (IOL) such as ReStor and Crystalens in addition to LASIK Eye Surgery. He completed his Clinical Training in Ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In addition Dr. Modi continues to serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Modi has been providing Laser Eye Surgery with the Excimer Laser for Laser Vision Correction since its approval since 1995 and has been performing Laser Eye Surgery procedures including LASIK, Lasik Eye Surgery, Custom LASIK and other Laser Vision Correction procedures in the Hudson Valley region of New York since 2002.
In addition to providing LASIK in New York, Dr. Modi is widely regarded as a Cataract Surgeon in New York where patients are comforted by his patient care philosophy of providing New York LASIK and Cataract Surgery patients with individualized and personalized care at every step of their eye surgery experience.

This was my first time visiting this office/doctor and it was a great experience! My only complaint was that I had a long wait, as there was a family of 5 before me. But all staff members (office, technician, and doctor) were all so kind and down to earth! I felt so comfortable there. Dr. Modi seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy. I highly recommend him! Also, the fact that there were people in the waiting room who traveled from the city and Jersey to be seen by him says a lot about his reputation!

My first visit to Dr. Modi. We moved to Poughkeepsie only a few months ago.
The office spaces are bright and airy, clean and modern. The assistants seem very capable in doing most of the prep work: using eye charts, taking pictures of the eyes, administering drops. Dr. Modi comes after that and explains everythng in more detail than I have ever heard about my vision problems. I feel very confident in Dr. Modi's care. He is personally very pleasant and informative and has an easy manner. My highest recommendation.
