About Dr. Seema Amin
Seema Amin is a skilled and capable optometrist serving the community of New York, NY. Dr. Amin earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico and completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Kansas. She is a valued member of Village Eyecare and the American Optometric Association. Patients consult Dr. Amin for a variety of reasons, including general eye exams, glaucoma evaluations, comprehensive dilated eye exams, flashers and floaters, and orthokeratology/corneal refractive therapies. Prior to joining Village Eyecare, she worked as an optometrist at Eye Health Associates and LensCrafters in New York, NY, and as an ophthalmic technician at Kansas City Eye Clinic in Overland Park, KS. Outside of her practice, Dr. Amin enjoys reading both fiction and non-fiction, watching KU basketball, and playing tennis and soccer. She is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient's situation and adapts her consultations and treatment options to accommodate individual needs and concerns. During her consultations, she fully explains patients' conditions and helps them choose an appropriate treatment plan.
