**When scheduling your Well Woman Exam, please ensure it's scheduled one year after your previous exam and with your same provider.** Dr Venkatachalam (she/hers) is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with over 20 years of experience providing progressive and equitable care from adolescence through menopause She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University, her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University She particularly loves guiding people through their fertility journey, whether through contraception counseling and treatments, actively managing infertility obstacles, or providing reproductive choice options She is an expert in managing abnormal pap smears and treating menstrual cycle issues, including abnormal bleeding and PCOS Skilled in minimally invasive surgery, she performs endometrial ablations and hysteroscopic treatments for both abnormal bleeding and infertility Obstetrically, Dr Venkatachalam is passionate about managing both low-risk and higher-risk pregnancies, including those complicated by hypertension, preterm labor, or diabetes She has presented research on gestational diabetes at regional and national levels She enjoys caring for advanced maternal-age pregnancies, twin gestations, and patients seeking evaluation for vaginal delivery after cesarean section With a strong belief that educating women improves health outcomes, Dr Venkatachalam has served as a guest speaker throughout Chicago, including for the Illinois Department of Health and Human Services and local organizations like the Northside Parents Network and Step Up! I had a great experience with Dr. Venkatachalam. It's been a few years since I've been to an OB-GYN. Partly due to the pandemic, partly due to dragging my feet. Dr. Venkatachalam was easy to talk to, put me at ease, and carefully tailored her recommended treatments to my personal situation and preferences.

Dr. V gave me the best first impression I’ve ever had with a physician. As silly as it sounds, I felt like I was treated like a person she was really interested in getting to know versus just another patient. She makes excellent eye contact so you are really having a one on one interaction. Unfortunately in my previous experiences, that was a rarity. She was very thorough in her line of questioning and every question was tied into my objective for coming in addition to her ensuring my wellness in every way. She provided me with excellent insight, great care, and I honestly I feel as if I truly lucked up with being under her care. 100000/10 highly recommend!!
