She earned her Bachelor of Science degree with high honors in Biology from Georgia Institute of Technology. She then received her Doctorate from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in North Chicago, IL. Subsequently, Dr. Krishnappan completed her rigorous three-year residency program in Maywood, IL at Loyola University Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and Hines VA Veterans Affairs Hospital, one of the largest VA hospitals in the country. Throughout her residency, she obtained a well-rounded and comprehensive training in both conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle pathologies. She completed her residency with the Chief Resident title and takes a special interest in various aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including pediatrics, trauma, reconstructive surgery, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Krishnappan is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care and is excited to care for the patients in her new community.
