About Dr. Shelley Ullom

Shelley Ullom, a native of Shadyside, OH, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Biology from Ohio University in 2001 and completed her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Indianapolis in 2004. Prior to relocating to Columbus in 2007, Shelley resided in Indianapolis where she gained extensive experience working with the pediatric population utilizing sensory integration and the tool of Hippotherapy (Horses!) at the Children’s Theraplay Foundation. She also gained experience through Easter Seals working with adult Low Vision patients in the home setting,helping them maintain independence. Since moving to Columbus, Shelley has worked with pediatric patients in multiple settings, from outpatient clinics to school systems. When she joined forces with Dr. Curtis at the Vision Performance Center in 2008, she felt blessed to be able to provide such amazing quality care to both children and adults and watch the practice grow exponentially. In addition to furthering her education and expertise in areas of sensory integration, sensory processing disorders, visual processing, vestibular rehab, and primitive reflexes, Shelley loves to couple her love for yoga and movement with patient care whenever she can. She has certifications in teaching children’s yoga from YogaKids, Radiant Child Yoga, Yoga for Special Needs as well as certification for implementing yoga therapy with our neuro population via Love Your Brain Yoga. Through work or play, Shelley loves to support and foster her patients’ paths of self-discovery and growth in a fun, creative and uplifting environment. She continues to have her dream job here at VPC! Shelley currently resides in Clintonville with her husband, their two children, and their sheepadoodle, Charlie.
