Did not feel personal at all. The classic answers of "eat better, and excercise daily" which I already do. Asked about my knees, said "don't squat anymore" with 0 explanation. I tried to get a better understanding of what was happening with some issues I had been having and left with 0 information.

While the Doctor was late, he explained why and apologized for it several times. He was very open minded to my medical needs and extremely flexible with the care I asked for. He was a very good listener.

The doctor himself was great and the wait time was only a few minutes but their sign in process is extremely sketchy (they had you send personal info through SMS messages which seems weird and wrong)

I would 100% go back. Haven’t been to a doctors office in years. Felt really comfortable there and felt like I knew the doctor for years. Anyone looking for a sign or something to go to the doctors. Make sure you visit him.

Dr. Shih takes the classic investigative approach to medicine which helps eliminate the need for endless examinations and testing and provides the right testing and treatment. He is an intelligent doctor who finds the right approach to a patients needs and lets you know he’s available for your needs with a phone call, and looks like he also is available for telemedicine appts as well. Really decent guy with tons of experience!

Dr. Shih interrupted me in the middle of every sentence and didn't let me get through my comprehensive list of questions and concerns before stating that I need to "Eat less" and offered me weight loss injections in the office. To be clear, I am not rail thin, but am also NOT at an unhealthy weight for my size. I'm an athlete who does 15 hours of exercise a week and, work with a dietitian, which Dr. Shih would have known had he bothered to ask questions before pushing a dangerous weight loss drug on me. And the issues I discussed have been present since I was a child, at which point I was dangerously underweight. He gave me awful nutritional advice. He told me to "eat less" at least five times, and recommended that I join a weight loss program like weight watchers. I'm 23. I'm an athlete. I work with a dietitian. I have a supportive and balanced lifestyle. Dr. Shih's narrow mindedness and judgmental demeanor was the reason why I am so hesitant about seeing doctors in the first place.

I have the worst anxiety when it comes to seeing physician's. So much so that I haven't scheduled an actual physical in over 10 years. My background is in nursing, but I've gradually transitioned into the Informatics space. Dr. Shih was very busy, but made himself available and actually listened to me. I didn't have any real concerns, but he still showed the same level of compassion and concern he more than likely would have if I had a real problem. I'm extremely grateful that I've established care with a provider that is fully vested in quality care. The office was busy, which is not unexpected for primary care, especially with only one provider. I'm pretty sure he skipped lunch to see patients while his staff also missed lunch to answer calls and attend to patients. The hard work and dedication to healthcare and other's well-being didn't go unnoticed.

Lovely place with respectful, considerate, and helpful service. I am trans and this has been the first interaction I've had with a medical facility where I was not made to repeatedly dead name myself, and the name I asked them to use was used consistently without question. The office staff were very patient and helpful! Even though I'm a terrible patient (never intentionally a jerk, but my time management is horrible) and even though they called /numerous/ times to help me prepare for my appointment, and I was late (:( ) they still helped me and saw me without abrasion or judgement. And Dr. Shi himself was very pressional and respectful! I wish that wasn't lowkey surprising! Just, most male doctors I've interacted with have, well, not been, and he was delightful. Actually listened and didn't argue with me or invalidate the experiences I shared. Just listened and observed and gave me the professional opnions and referrals that were asked for. 12/10
