About Dr. Shilpa Clott
Shilpa M. Clott, MD, FACOG, founded Somerset Women’s Care in 2012 after spending 11 years as a house doctor at two major New Jersey medical centers. Dr. Clott established Somerset Women’s Care on the principle of offering the absolute best obstetric and gynecologic services, provided by women who intimately understand the needs and concerns of women. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Drexel University (formerly Hahnemann University School of Medicine) and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Clott is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and takes great pride in being a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Clott takes great pride in being a solo practitioner within the changing world of health care. She and her staff continue to practice in Warren, New Jersey, with the same attention, care, and respect that have brought many friends from the surrounding areas for more than 10 years. Dr. Clott and the staff at Somerset Women’s Care welcome you to their practice and look forward to serving the obstetric and gynecologic needs of women in Warren, Clark, Westfield, Cranford, Edison, Essex County, and the greater New Jersey area.

This office is a masterclass in unprofessionalism. After waiting MONTHS for a new patient appointment and driving 50+ minutes, I called to say I’d be a few minutes late due to traffic. Good thing I did because only then did they mention the provider wasn’t even in the office. She was at the hospital with a patient in labor. I asked if any other provider could see me. Nope, because they only have one. Just one provider for all patients, which feels like a bold (and baffling) choice in healthcare, let alone a field where people routinely go into labor. I asked about rescheduling, assuming I’d get at least some priority given the situation. Wrong again! Next available slot was months out (again). Even after I said I had an urgent issue, they stuck me on a “waitlist” and promised a call. Spoiler alert: no one ever called. No follow-up. Just vanished into the healthcare void. If you’re into endless waits and the distinct feeling that your time is meaningless, this place is a 10/10.
