His grandfather, Jim Stanley, coached football at Oklahoma State University and spent years coaching in the NFL — the start of a lifelong interest in performance and injury prevention. A former collegiate quarterback himself, Dr. Spencer began his career at Southwestern Oklahoma State before transferring to Oklahoma State University, where he earned a B.S. in Microbiology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland University–Kansas City.
