The reason I became an optometrist is: I became an optometrist because I wanted to provide a practical service while connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it be prescribing glasses or contacts for clearer vision, diagnosing, and managing a vision-threatening disease, or annual monitoring of ocular health, optometry provides me the opportunity to improve my patients’ daily lives.
