About Dr. Stephanie Turk

Stephanie K. Turk, OD, is a Therapeutic Optometrist and certified Glaucoma Specialist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, as well as primary care for children, adults and geriatric patients. Dr. Turk also administers pre- and post- operative care of cataract surgery and laser vision correction patients, utilizing the latest diagnostic equipment and treatment techniques. Dr. Turk received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Optometry. While obtaining her graduate degree, she held leadership roles for the organizations of Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Young Life, and held the office of Class President. She completed her clinical externships with the Mann Eye Institute in Houston, TX , and at Bridge Builders Eye Clinic, Dallas, TX, where she treated high volumes of ocular pathology. Following graduation, she served as Clinical Director and Therapeutic Optometrist at an eye care office in College Station, TX. During this time, Dr. Turk acted as a clinical sub-investigator for an FDA Pharmaceutical Dry Eye Study and acted as panelist in an OD seminar on Advanced Technology Intraocular Lens Implants and Laser Refractive Fine Tuning. Dr. Turk is presently active in the community and professional organizations including the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and Junior League.
