Dr. Fish earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in complex medical and surgical glaucoma with Acuity Eye Group. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. From 2020 to 2024, Dr. Fish practiced as a partner at Acuity Eye Group in North County San Diego, performing on average 2,000 cataract surgeries and 100 major glaucoma surgeries per year. He founded CCG to bring that same depth of experience to patients in a smaller, more personal, physician-led practice, where decisions are made with patients, not shareholders, in mind. Dr. Fish has particular expertise in complex cataract surgery, including dense cataracts and monocular patients, and offers premium intraocular lens options, including multifocal and toric lenses. For glaucoma, he provides the full range of care, from medications and laser treatment to minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and incisional surgery for advanced disease. Outside the office, Dr. Fish is an Eagle Scout and a former state wrestling champion who studied at the University of Virginia before medical school. He enjoys golf and time at the beach with his wife and three children.
