About Dr. Susan Warner
Susan Warner, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. has been caring for patients on the North Shore for decades. She is a Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Warner is well known throughout the North Shore for the excellent care she provides to her patients. As many of her patients refer her to family and friends, Dr. Warner is honored to have delivered generations of babies within the same family and loves being a part of the reunion photos. In addition to obstetric care, Dr. Warner is sought out for her excellent surgical skills, offering her patients the option of in-office procedures when possible such as hysteroscopy, D&C, and endometrial ablation with sedation in a comfortable and safe office setting.
She sees patients in her Evanston office and maintains affiliations with NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals). Dr. Warner attended Northwestern University as an undergraduate, The Medical College of Ohio for medical school, and completed her medical residency at Northwestern University. As a way to return her appreciation to her alma mater, Dr. Warner is the Chief of Gynecology/Women’s Health at Northwestern University Student Health Services.

The staff and doctor were all very friendly. Communication could be better. Doctor gave me a possible diagnoses and possible follow-up treatment. Every doctor I've seen clearly communicated with the receptionist for a smooth transition into the next appointment. This place left it up to me to figure out what and when the next appointment would be. Didn't feel very professional.

Dr. Warner provides excellent care. She listened attentively to my questions/concerns and has provided appropriate answers (explaining different options for care and next steps and her recommendations). She also provided risk analysis (eg, there’s % chance this might not work, and if that’s the case, we can go with option X or y). She was also great at making conversation to make me feel more comfortable and at ease. This was my first visit with Dr. Warner and I look forward to keeping her as my OB.

Susan Warner is a smart doctor and she knows what she’s doing. She also has the best bedside manner I’ve ever seen in any doctor. She is gentle and she explains everything she’s doing during my pelvis exam so I didn’t get nervous or startled.

dr. warner is by far one of the best doctors i’ve ever seen. she talked me thru the entire appointment, explaining all the things she was doing and why she was doing them. listened to all my concerns and questions and provided a detailed explanations and solutions/options to all of them. i normally hate doctors, they always make me feel shamed and judged, but dr warner was by far one of the most professional and sweetest i’ve ever encountered.

I was blown away with the kindest of the nurse and Dr. Wheeler. My concerns were listened to and we made a plan together about my health care. I've historically been VERY freaked out by gynecologist visits, and granted I still was going into this visit, but both Dr. Warner and her assistant (who's name I forget, I'm so sorry!) were absolutely excellent in their bedside manner. They were both so approachable and made it easy to discuss personal matters and really helped put me at ease. During the exam, Dr. Warner narrated everything she was about to do and could not have been more gentle (why does nobody talk about gentle practitioners?). It was the most comfortable/least uncomfortable I've ever felt during these appointments! Would highly recommend, especially if gynecologist visits make you squeamish.

Dr. Warner was great. I went for an annual and made it very clear I was uncomfortable with the procedure and she walked me through everything and prefaced me of all her actions and I can honestly say it was the most comfortable experience with an OB I have ever had. She was sensitive and sincere of my preferences while still very professional and discussed all of my options. She was a wonderful doctor. My last OB was not sensitive to how I felt about the procedure and she gave me confidence to come back. Definitely recommend.
