About Dr. Sydney Lin
Sydney S. Lin, O.D. primarily focuses on the designing and prescribing of custom speciality contact lenses for the treatment and management of keratoconus and other corneal disorders. She is devoted to helping patients achieve better vision and comfort.
Education & Training
Dr. Lin knew early on that she wanted to dedicate her life to vision care and eye health. During high school, she applied and was accepted into SUNY College of Optometry’s 3/4 Joint Degree Program. After three years of college at SUNY Geneseo, Dr. Lin pursued her Doctorate of Optometry Degree at SUNY College of Optometry. During this time, she trained at the Baltimore Veterans Affair Medical Center, the University Eye Center at SUNY Optometry, and Gotham Health’s East New York Clinic. Dr. Lin then went on to complete a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After completion, Dr. Lin decided it was time to head home to New York and serve her fellow New Yorkers.

I had a great experience with Dr. Sydney Lin ; warm, respectful, and incredibly professional. She explained everything she was doing, along with her diagnosis and recommendations, in a clear and reassuring way. What stood out most was her focus on prevention rather than just curing problems. I received thoughtful advice about caring for my eyes that no one had ever shared with me before.
I’m usually anxious during eye exams, but her calm, attentive presence made me feel safe and at ease. Great energy, excellent bedside manner. I totally recommend her!

Everyone in the office from reception to the technicians and then the doctor, was welcoming, listened, responded to every question, made it very comfortable and had great bedside manner. They were professional and knowledgeable. They dealt with my issue and immediately helped relieve any worry I had before I walked in. I highly recommend.

The office is amazing and Dr.Linn is even more amazing she’s the sweetest eye doctor anyone could ever wish for; makes me wish that I can see her once a week or more. The office has an Amazing staff, for an amazing doctor you won’t regret going here. Between the staff friendliness and Dr.Linn, and how she does things you’ll be happy you chose this office, I’m impressed by her explanations after the exam to explain the results you can easily see she’s passionate about what she does and takes her time with your eyes so she can see the issue as well as help you see and understand the issue as well. Your eyes would be in great hands with her without a doubt.
