Dr. Timsi Muttreja is a compassionate optometrist driven to provide exceptional care to her patients in New York. Dr. Muttreja earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from SUNY Oswego. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico School of Optometry, where she was honored with the Award for Clinical Excellence.
Dr. Muttreja provides comprehensive eye examinations and manages various ocular diseases including, but not limited to, dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal-related problems. She is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and Spanish. In her free time, Dr. Muttreja enjoys traveling, art, and spending time with her family.

I haven’t been to an optometrist in over 6 years so I was nervous about my appointment. Dr. Muttreja at Eyes On Second was so kind and informative, and I did not feel judged at all. The office was clean, staff was super friendly, and I had an overall great experience! They are using the most up-to-date technology available and nothing in the office was old or outdated. I found they offer a more premium-feeling experience compared to a place like LensCrafters, yet they are still considered an in-network provider for my vision insurance and the copay is the same, so it was a no-brainer to go here for a routine exam.

My eye doctor was great. However, be prepared to pay extra if you can't have your eyes dilated and need to use their machine to check your optic nerve. I had a dinner appointment that evening so I could not have blurry eyesight, but I wish they'd have told me in advance so I could've rescheduled the appointment. They also charge extra if you wear contacts and want to do a contact lense check-up, although why I will never know -- I never had to do an additional check-up in my hometown even though I've worn contacts for over 10 years. I got out of it by a) just wearing my glasses and b) asking to come back for the contact lenses checkup another time.

Very easy appointment with Dr. Muttreja. She was very kind and patient as well as the rest of the staff at the office. The office is smaller than what I expected, but they present it well. They were very clear in communication about my insurance and during my exams. Definitely will be returning

Front staff was very nice. Doctor explained everything and got me my prescription quickly without feeling rushed. Answered all questions and concerns I had with care. Even explained all the scans of my eyes she took and what they meant. Also was not pressured at all to buy glasses.
