About Dr. Travis Abel
Dr. Travis Abel received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in biology and graduated cum laude from Coastal Carolina University, where he was a member of Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia. Dr. Abel was awarded clinical honors at his multiple clinical rotations. He gained experience working with low vision patients while at the William G. Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, for which he was also awarded clinical honors. Dr. Abel comes from a close knit family from Ewing, NJ. When not at work, Dr. Abel enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, working outside on his lawn and garden, playing piano and guitar, golfing, hiking, model railroading.

After researching to find the best, we finally did it. Dr. Abel has great knowledge of his profession. When he is taking care of you, he takes his time to make sure you understand everything and doesn't rush you at all. I am really happy that I found him and I wouldn't go anywhere else but him from now on!

I went for a comprehensive eye exam and had a wonderful experience. Dr. Abel was patient as he listened to my concerns and addressed each one clearly and with patience. There was slight confusion regarding my insurance information as I am a dependent on my spouse's insurance. The issue was quickly flagged and resolved well in advance over the phone. I would highly recommend this practice.

TERRIBLE, I called to let them know I was on my way because I was running late. I told them what time I’d be there and they said it’s fine, if the next appointment arrives they’ll just go before me, which was fine and understandable. When I arrived they told me they couldn’t take me because the doctor had a party to go to. Imagine how upsetting that is especially when you had to drive 30 min to get there! I will NOT be going back. I do NOT recommend.

I highly recommend Dr. Abel. I was comfortable, he was kind, thoughtful. The only things I would mention is that one of the receptionists was wearing a mask on and off, also another doctor wasn’t wearing the mask while talking to her…. But overall I am satisfied with the experience.

Everything was exactly as expected. Dr. Abel was terrific and the equipment was impressive. The technician who conducted the automated testing was pleasant and efficient. The exam was thorough and the explanations of my condition very clear.
