About Dr. Van Mattison

"Dr. Van Mattison got her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2009; her California Preliminary Teaching Credential in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis in 2013; and her Doctor of Optometry from Marshall B. Ketchum University's Southern California College of Optometry in 2018. With her passion for education, teaching and caring for others, Dr. Mattison has made her home in Central Florida examining and treating patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Dr. Mattison holds a strong background in family and pediatric eyecare, providing comprehensive vision services; soft, RGP and specialty scleral contact lens evaluations; and other vision-related care. This includes screening, treating and co-managing conditions such as dry eye disease, eye infections, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. In her free time, Dr. Mattison enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, cooking, drawing, singing, sewing, watching anime, and making custom patient education materials."
