About Dr. Vanessa Bedoya

We do NOT accept Medicaid at this time.** Dr. Vanessa Bedoya is a native New Yorker, she grew up in Queens and Long Island, NY. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from CUNY The City College of New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. While at The City College, she was a Resident Assistant for two years and received the “Resident Assistant of The Year” award in 2016. Dr. Bedoya earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree at SUNY College of Optometry. At SUNY she was an active member of SVOSH and participated in a mission trip to Grenada in 2019, providing eye care to underserved communities. She completed her externship training at the St. Alban’s VA, a private Optometry practice, and an Ophthalmology practice during which time she gained experience in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, low vision, and pediatrics. She loves spending her free time outdoors with her family camping, hiking, and swimming. Dr. Bedoya is fluent in Spanish. She holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY and is a preceptor for 4th year externs at Patino Eye Care.
