About Dr. Vijay Nair
Dr. Vijay Nair has been practicing as a Board Certified Optometrist since 1999. In 2003, he opened his own practice in the East Orlando area called Waterford Lakes Eye Care. Dr. Nair is known for being very detailed while showing sincere care for his patients.
He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in 1992. He later returned to Nova Southeastern University, where he graduated with honors and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. While at Nova, he was an active member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Nair is currently involved with Humanitarian Eye Care Missions in Honduras, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Kenya, and local areas in great need. His time away from work is spent with his family-his wife and three children-and his church community. Dr. Nair is an avid fisherman who enjoys skiing and soccer.

Dr Nair and the support team were very friendly. The exam was thorough and exam results fully explained. I elected to purchase glasses while there and the technicians were so helpful and gave me honest feedback about how each of my selections looked on my resulting in a much more positive experience overall. Totally worth the drive.

Great amazing doctor and office. Must go if you have a flight medical soon. I’ve been to many doctors and he was the only one that fixed my prescription and diagnosed me in less than 5 minutes. I went from struggling to see to 20/15 corrected. Better than perfect vision. Extremely friendly staff and they contacted me prior to make sure I have the address and I’m aware of the appointment.

Dr. Nair was super professional, gentle; and informative. He communicated everything in a way that I could easily understand. His staff was extremely nice and caring as well. The entire office made me feel comfortable and had no issues answering any questions I had.

Everyone there gives their attention to serving the patients. They greet you as soon as you arrive and continue to attend to your needs throughout the visit. Dr Vijay is great. He is calm and that makes me relax. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything so that I can understand. I never feel like he’s rushing to get to the next patient Don’t do anything different!

I gave STAFF the rating 9 instead of 10. This week was unusual, because your staff were learning a new system, but my appointment took 2 hours and 20 mins. Normally it is less than one hour. I heard your staff sharing their disappointments with each other when I was sitting in the waiting room. I am certain that they are hard working and want to do a great job serving. I would suggest evaluating why on Wednesday (day 3) there were still issues with the new system affecting your staff still after two days. Is there some after hours training that could help?
