About Dr. Vinayak Ravuri

Dr. Ravuri received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences as well as Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degrees from UC Irvine. He attended Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2015. During his optometric training, he served on a research team studying the visual cortex and how it connects and communicates with the other areas of the brain. Dr. Ravuri's professional interests are in ocular surface disease management (dry eyes), diabetic eye disease, specialty contact lenses, medical eye emergencies, and is certified in myopia control (including orthokeratology) In addition to giving back to the local Capitol Hill/Seattle community, Dr. Ravuri has been on several volunteer optometric mission trips to Jamaica, El Salvador, and Vietnam. Dr. Ravuri was born in Hyderabad, India and moved to Ventura, CA at the young age of 8 with his family. A passionate outdoorsman, Dr. Ravuri enjoys spending his time away from work hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, attending live music events, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his camera in hand.
