During his externships, he gained extensive clinical experience in ocular disease and primary eye care at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center, Eye Specialists of Ohio, and Vision Professionals. Before returning home to Florida, Dr. Ferlita completed a residency and later served as a clinical optometrist at Eye Specialists of Ohio, where he specialized in diagnosing and managing diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, corneal disease, and macular degeneration, as well as providing post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
