About Dr. Wai Fung
The refraction fee for a glasses prescription is $75 Out-of-Pocket
!! Currently, we do not accept Vision Insurance (Ex. VSP) !!
Dr. Fung performs comprehensive eye exams, and diagnoses and manages conditions including dry eyes, red eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She also handles emergency eye conditions. She offers specialized in-office dry eye treatments, including: Punctal Plugs, Meibomian Gland Compression and Tea Tree Oil treatment.
If you make an appointment and would like a prescription for Contact Lenses, please bring a copy of your previous contact prescription or the box/packaging of your current Contact Lenses. Contact Lens Trials are not available in-office at this time.
Dr. Fung is a California native, and received her undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the University of California Berkeley. After graduation, she completed an ocular disease residency at the State university of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry.
She speaks conversational Spanish and Mandarin.

Prior to my appointment with Dr. Fung at Angioletti Retina, office staff provided transparent information (e.g. expectations and billing) and friendly reminders/confirmations about my upcoming visit. Once I arrived, I was swiftly checked in and prepped to be examined by Dr. Fung in the speediest processes I have ever experienced (the first in many decades!). Moreover, Dr. Fung not only addressed my needs for my visit, but also provided information related to, but outside of, a routine eye exam with both clarity and attentive bedside manners. Overall, I entered and left the appointment in record time, but I haven't felt most cared for and informed as I have than today at her appointment. Thank you, Dr. Fung and staff!
