About Dr. Warren Chen
Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then received his PhD from the University of Houston College of Optometry and went on to continue his optometry studies at both Northeastern State University and Heights Eye Center, where he had extensive, hands-on experience in corneal diseases, cataract pre- and post-op exams, and retinal pathology.
Dr. Chen and his partner Dr. Pham started Glimpse Eye Care in 2021 with the mission to provide quality and personalized care. Each and every patient is important and we hope you will see that!
Dr. Chen is certified by the Texas Optometry Board and currently serves as a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist at Glimpse. He practices all aspects of optometry, ranging from binocular vision to “dry eye” care. Additionally, Dr. Chen is himself a member of the Texas Optometric Association, an organization that supports the growth of optometry through outstanding patient care.
On a more personal note, Dr. Chen is highly motivated and more than ready to serve his community. When he’s not performing eye exams or offering advice on the latest eyewear, Dr. Chen enjoys basketball, watching sports on TV (he’s a big Houston sports fan…go, Astros!), playing computer games, spending time with family and friends, and moonlighting as a foodie on Yelp!

Amazing Eye Dr. Strongly recommend! Very friendly and he really cares about his patients. Staff was also very friendly and welcoming.
The office was very nice, clean, organized and very beautiful. I was seen really fast and it didn’t feel rushed at all. Dr. Khanh greater me and was very friendly and kind. He heard all my consents and he answered all my answers with honesty, which I strongly prefer! Very professional. My insurance covered the visit, minus the deductible of course, but I really do like this office and worth the drive for me. Even after the visit he told me to send him a picture of my old prescription and I did and he responded very quickly and I got my prescription right away he also gave me options and the amounts for my contacts?? Rx. Which was very very nice! He’s a Eye Dr that would go above and beyond for his patients!

Dr. Chen made the experience very enjoyable. He is very friendly and talkative. He made sure I understood what he was doing. He was able to understand my vision needs. The office uses equipment that make the experience quick and effective. They have brands like Tom Ford, Ray Bans, and more. I plan to visit him next year.

I was impressed. I was actually greeted by Dr. Chen and I was impressed with his modern technology. I loved the way he explained everything and was able to actually show me pictures of my eyes. I will be back next year for my annual exam.

Coolest optometrist ever! I've been going to optometrists for 15 years and never learned so much. The doctor explained to me my different options in prescriptions and the pros/cons. He also taught me a lot about the different conditions which could affect your eyes. Very friendly and interesting staff.
The whole experience was only around 30 minutes too!

These guys are amazing. Totally full service for your eye care needs from in house glasses, through contacts. Most appreciated is all the latest equipment to allow a complete and thorough exam. I was seen by Dr. Chen and how knowledgeable he was. You won’t find a friendlier crew of Drs and staff. Highly recommend.
