About Dr. Wayne Sebastiano
Dr. Sebastiano has been recognized by his peers for his accomplishments and has been bestowed the honors of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, and is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialists. He completed his internship in Surgery at Catholic Medical Center and his residency in Family Medicine at Downstate Medical Center. He is an Honorary Medical Officer for the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) and an Honorary Police Surgeon for the New York State Police Troopers. He is also the recipient of three A.M.A. Physician Recognition Awards. In 1991, he was honored with the "Fireman of the Year" Award for saving the life of a young carpenter who nearly severed his right arm in a glass door accident. He has flown emergency calls with the Air Ambulance Network, transporting critically ill patients worldwide. Dr. Sebastiano is licensed in both New York and New Jersey and holds certificates from the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and from the American College of Surgeons in Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is also a certified Rescue Scuba Diver and a member of the Diver’s Alert Network.
He is happily married and the father of three daughters.

If you are coming here for quick service, look elsewhere . Made an appointment the night before using Zocdoc for this office. The appointment time was for 11:15am. I arrived at 11am being a new patient and all finished paperwork within two minutes gave it back to the lady at the desk. She tells me ok someone will be with me shortly. Little did I know that "shortly" meant that I would be getting seen at around 1:20pm. After I approached the desk to inquire about the relevance of making an appointment as opposed to just being a walk in. The nurse was great though.

So I e been going to Glendale Family Medicine for a long time. I used to see Angelina who was a God sent…she is a good listener and gave the best advice. I believe seen Dr Sebastiano 2 times but all other times is the new PA Ms Leary. She is okay but seem to have an issue acknowledging my symptoms and giving proper recommendations. She always had to refer to her phone…who does this!!!
That’s not even all…the reception/ Hispanic lady at the first desk ha some nerves…it’s like she has an issue with me without me even doing anything . She maybe mad that I come to the office several times in the month mind you I have heart issues from the covid vaccine.
When I ask for a doctor note for being out for 3 Weekes she was very rude about the fact that they wanted to give me only the days that I’ve been there…wtf I’ve been complaining I’m not well. When I told her I need to speak with the PA she told me the PA will call me back…never got a call back from the PA. When I complained about the lack of knowledge of the PA the bit** got the Nerve to say “you didn’t have a problem with the PA when you wanted doctor note” my blood pressure went right up…the nerve of this person working in a doctor office…the. She goes on to say’ no one else ever had a problem with her’ WTF if this how people get treated in a doctors office…I can’t wait to write reviews all over the internet until I get Dr Sebastianos attention. I deserve an apology…

Overall it was a pretty good visit (helpful receptionists, clean waiting room, was seen quickly) until the VERY END when I was on my way out the door, and Dr. Sebastiano "warned" me that, oh, by the way, masks are bad for you because they raise the carbon monoxide concentration in your blood. I left feeling like, ugh, did I really just trust that guy to stick a needle in my arm? Thumbs down.

I had a very good experience the first time I went to see Dr. Sebastiano in 2019. However, this time around (November 23, 2020) was the complete opposite. I never got to see the Doctor who's my Primary Care Doctor. I waited 2 1/2 hours and they still needed more time, after they initially told me it would be 45min to an 1 hour. Total waste of time! They're reasoning was that they're very busy now that it's a covid testing center. If it's now a testing center, Primary Care, and Urgent Care then they need to revamp their procedures in order to handle the volume of COVID patients as well as primary care ones. Very poor management is an understatement. This is a medical Mill. I'd like to add that the waiting room was full with no social distancing whatsoever. You'd think a COVID center would have better common sense and practice CDC guidelines in how they herd their patients to see the doctor. As my primary care doctor, I now need to find an acceptable practice where I don't waste half my day waiting while mass COVID testing is being performed. I for one did not feel safe in that environment. I hope to find a facility where i can make an appointment and be seen within a reasonable time.
