About Dr. William Cameron Ford
Dr. Cameron Ford, M.D. is a lifelong Texan born in West Texas and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He attended college at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology and a Minor in Biochemistry. He was awarded the Academic Foundation Medal which is presented to the graduate who exemplifies the highest scholarly achievement of their class. After graduation he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Ford enjoys practicing general ophthalmology and treating a wide variety of eye diseases both medically and surgically including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and dry eye.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and woodworking.

My previous experience with a ophthalmologist for my diplopia was horrible - Dr. Ford was the exact opposite of that. Attentive, wanted to make sure he understood my issues and questions, did a great exam and explained it to me, and came up with an action plan. Listened to my story and let me ask all the questions I wanted to, unlike his predecessor who only seemed like he wanted me out of the chair as quickly as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Ford for your treatment!!
