Yasha S. Modi, MD is an ophthalmologist, retinologist, and a vitreoretinal surgeon who currently serves as Assistant Professor of Retinal Diseases, Uveitis, and Vitreoretinal Surgery, Director of Uveitis, and Director of Tele-Retina at New York University. He has served as Principal-Site Investigator and Sub-Investigator on multiple clinical trials and experiments, and has served as Fellow in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute along with holding research and clinician positions at Yale and NYU. In addition, Dr. Modi has published multiple papers in the field of ophthalmology and is coauthor of The Yale Guide to Surgical Ophthalmology. Dr. Modi is on the Unite for Site board of directors, for whom he served as NYU chapter president for two years and as Director of International Chapter Development for four. During his time as Director of Chapter Development, he developed and helped sustain the organization’s Asian and African chapters.
