About Dr. Young min Chung
Dr. Chung is native to Washington state. He majored in biochemistry at the University of Washington and obtained his doctorate degree in optometry from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, CA. His optometric training was done at Hoopes Vision (Draper, UT), VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (North Las Vegas, LV), Ketchum Health (Anaheim, CA), and Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital (Sacaton, AZ), where the training was focused on primary eye care, ocular disease management, low vision, vision therapy, and refractive surgery. He practiced optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL for first few years in his career where he learned to speak Spanish to carry out a comprehensive eye exam through many encounters of a Hispanic patient population. He is also fluent in Korean and takes pride in providing eye care utilizing his bilingual ability. Dr. Chung enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and his family. In his free time, he likes running, working out at the gym, and playing soccer.

The doctors and staff are professional, but the office lacks transparency regarding vision insurance. Extremely misleading booking process. The platform explicitly stated this provider was IN-NETWORK, and during booking, it only prompted for my health insurance without clarifying that they are actually OUT-OF-NETWORK for VSP vision insurance. This lack of transparency and conflicting information resulted in unexpected out-of-pocket costs at checkout. Please double-check your vision benefits directly with VSP before booking, as the platform's 'in-network' status and the office's intake process are not accurate for vision coverage

I was extremely pleased with my visit. The receptionist, made, greater me with a smiles Dr. Chung was exceptionally thorough in his eye examination. He asked if I had questions, and then answered them well. He had an assured temperament that made me feel comfortable and assured that he was well qualified and that he cared for me.
