I've seen Dr. Mendez 3 times now and he's become my go-to for anything ortho. To start, my experience with the front desk (I go to Lenox Hill location) is always great. I don't wait long, they're friendly, and helpful. When I see Dr. Mendez, he takes his time with me and assessing what's going on, asks questions, and describes his thoughts. He's happy to go through scans with me, etc. He then describes numerous options and has always proposed surgery last. With each option he'll describe pros, cons, price and timeline so I'm fully informed. I very much recommend this Doctor and his team.

Dr. Sapienza is an extremely patient doctor (given how difficult I can be) and walks you through various options for treatment. He fully explains the pros and cons of each option. You can also talk to him about any health concerns you have that may impact the medical issue you consulted him about. Extremely knowledgeable and kind physician.
Dr. Cagle greeted me almost instantly once I was in the exam room. His bedside manner was excellent and he asked the right questions. He was instantly able to diagnose the issue and provide the appropriate therapy.

Arrived a little early.. receptionist that was there when i first arrived around 7:45am was great! Very nice went out of her wayto accomodate everyone in waiting room.. the two receptionists that were there after my apptment was over were not as pleasant, actually not even half as pleasant and not helpful at all.. the dr suggested a hip artrogram to be done that same day and since i live almost 2 hours away, he said he would have the receptionist call to see if the imaging place could get me in that day. It was only 8:30 am. The receptionist gave me the slip and said i had to call to schedule an appt. i explained that the dr was having the office call to see if i could get a same day appt.... she handed the info to the other receptionist who asked for my phone number. Then after five minutes she gave me back the slip and said the imaging place would call me. I asked if she had called for authorization and how long before the mri place would call me back. She was very short and said i dont know. When i left i called the imaging place, they were very nice and helped me right away. There were no appts available for that day for what the dr was ordering. I would have waited around all day for a phone call that would have never happened, the dr and early morning receptionist, even the xray technician and gentelman who took me i to the room were excellent. The other two receptionist made the visit uncomfortable ,and i would definitly reconisder coming back after driving as far as i did for that appt.
