Psychotherapist
CO
Hi, I’m Dr. K, and I specialize in trauma treatment. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with military personnel, veterans, and their families but I also work with individuals from all walks of life who are seeking healing and personal growth. I have extensive experience in evidence-based trauma therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Some clients respond best to EMDR, others to CPT or different approaches. My training allows me to tailor treatment to fit your unique needs. We’ll begin with a thorough assessment and then decide together how to move forward. My mission is to help you process your trauma, regulate emotions, and challenge negative thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Whether you're dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to support your journey toward healing and self-discovery. In addition to trauma-focused care, I use a variety of evidence-based methods, including CBT, DBT, ACT, STAIR, and mindfulness-based protocols to address a wide range of mental health concerns. At the core of my practice is a deep belief in unconditional positive regard. Therapy should be a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, accepted, and empowered. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where you can be your full self because real healing begins with feeling safe and seen. You don’t have to go through this alone. Trauma treatment doesn’t have to be intimidating, it can be a powerful, life-changing process. I’d be honored to walk alongside you every step of the way.
