Psychotherapist
CO
Aleeza has been working with children, teens, and adults for over a decade. Aleeza works with her clients by setting concrete goals, assisting her clients as they explore their needs, flush out their boundaries, and learn techniques to manage anxiety, ADHD, ASD, and eating disordered thinking. Aleeza has led social skills groups and therapeutic camps for the past five years. I value genuineness, empathy, compassion, and equality. I utilize these values to shape my therapeutic approaches to treatment, ensuring that I show up every day being my genuine self in therapy. I value the therapeutic approach and relationship and believe this is built on empathy and compassion. I will not use sympathy, nor do I feel exactly what you are going through, though I will gladly be your fellow traveler as we work through it together. In everything I do, I aspire to be understanding and open to all races, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, and lifestyles.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am nondirective and appreciate the role of open-ended questions, and I am goal-directed and will work with you to establish goals to work on and achieve throughout our work together. I enjoy working with clients who need support, someone to talk to, and someone to hold them accountable. I also enjoy working with teens and young adults and their parents. Ideally, success includes symptom reduction and adaptive coping skill development. However, you will define your own success through the goals we set.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When I begin work with a new client, I want to learn about the current issue and gain an understanding of your strengths and support systems. I like to build off already set systems of support and ensure we have a good working relationship to begin treatment. This is information that I glean from the intake session. The intake session is a good chance for you to get to know me as well.
