Getting to know Aleksander Kavesh
I believe everyone can benefit from therapy! Counseling is about finding the answers and paths that you’re looking for and I do my best to facilitate those goals. I’m a strong proponent of CBT but am dedicated to find the right type of strategy for each unique person.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe that you are the one in control of counseling and am always happy to work at whatever pace makes you feel comfortable. Together we can work on creating a sense of trust and strength to get you where you want to be. I grew up as an Orthodox Jew and enjoy all kinds of things from video games to sports and everything in between!
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In the first session I will complete an intake assessment to gather as much information to better assess and get to know you, your history, and what concerns have brought you to therapy and therefore set up goals. The following sessions, we will engage in talk therapy while pulling from various modalities to help you achieve your goals. Our sessions are 45 min in length on a weekly basis.
Please allow 15 minutes before the session to do the intake paperwork.
