“I've been in and out of therapy for years. I've liked some therapists more than others, but I don't think I've ever really clicked with anyone the way I click with Lexie. I tell everyone in my life that I have found the best therapist. During our consultation, she asked me what I was looking for in a therapist, and throughout our sessions it is clear that she listened, and has taken the approach I was looking for and put it into practice. I feel very heard, and seen, yet challenged in the best way. It's very cool to be working with a therapist who is clearly happy to be doing what she's doing. For the first time, I feel so empowered to do the hard work. I would recommend Lexie to anyone x1000. ”

Getting to know Alexandra Braverman

I specialize in working with emerging adults, young Jewish professionals, creative professionals, and people with anxiety, trauma, and panic disorders. I know it can be incredibly uncomfortable discussing change. Change has the potential to be scary, but I promise to provide steady guidance and empathic facilitation through all that you wish to explore. I have spent many years working in the creative arts, the restaurant industry, with Jewish youth, and with couples and families. I know that you are the expert on your own experience. I want to provide the space for you to do your own exploration of how you relate to the world around you. By utilizing mindfulness, CBT/DBT, and a trauma-informed approach, my goal is for you to take the skills you learn in session and bring them to the "outside." The strength of our therapeutic relationship is paramount to your success and healing. I look forward to working with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I aim to create a safe and empowering space for my clients to explore their most meaningful obstacles. My main goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship based on mutual trust, compassion, kindness, and empathy. My approach is psychodynamic, trauma-informed, collaborative, gentle, and rooted in my ability to meet you exactly where you’re at, today.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My sessions are 45 minutes in length for individuals, and one hour for couples/families. Usually I will see clients on a weekly basis until a client is prepared and ready to move to bi-weekly sessions. I will be moving at the pace that you set since this is your time and these are your sessions.

Working with Lexie has been nothing short of incredible. She's helped me move through so many issues and emotions while helping me gain the tools to be better at moving through those emotions on my own outside of the therapy room. I'm very grateful to have her as a therapist and recommend her to anyone seeking therapy.
