What should a new client know about working with you?

Welcome. My name is Allie. Patients that work well with me are those that wish to understand the deeper, unconscious drivers of their present anxious and/or depressive symptoms, mostly when their anxiety presents as "spiraling". I help all patients gain a life-long ability to self-reflect internally, take responsibility, and build more connected lives. Working with me is a promise to end anxious, ruminating thoughts and replace them with meaningful, proactive inner monologue. I practice psychotherapy without ideology; people of all political backgrounds are welcome.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

With couples counseling we work together to identify gaps in communication and fix persistent relational patterns that leave both parties feeling: "this argument is going nowhere." Each week we disentangle core psychic issues in the relationship, which allows each party to see the reality of the relationship structure and make active steps towards change. If you individually are feeling sensations of worry or emptiness and have been curious about beginning psychotherapy, or if you and your partner seek to build a deeper bond, I would love to meet with you. I believe the answers you seek already live within you. I welcome you to join me in the therapeutic process; a powerful path toward clarity and growth.
