Alexandria Baxter, LCSW

Alexandria Baxter, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing telehealth therapy to adults across New York. I specialize in perinatal and reproductive mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum experiences, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and birth-related trauma. I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with appear capable and put together on the outside, while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. I support clients who are navigating identity shifts, motherhood, relationships, and the lasting impact of trauma, often while trying to keep up with daily responsibilities. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based methods, including EMDR, to help clients feel more regulated, understand their emotional patterns, and regain a sense of steadiness and control. Therapy with me is not about fixing or pushing, but about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, be yourself, and begin to feel more like you again.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
