Getting to know Altara Orlowski
Altara Orlowski is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York. She has an MSW from Fordham University and a B.A. in Communication from Arizona State University.
Altara's life experience and work experience over the past 20 years has helped define her approach now, in helping clients as a psychotherapist. Her background in teaching, fitness, and mental health has led to her understanding that there is a whole person approach (Bio-psycho-social) to treatment that needs to be addressed when working with patients. A combination of mind and body, which includes self-care, movement, and mental health. Altara is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and tends to use an eclectic approach to treatment depending on the needs of the client.
Outside of work, Altara enjoys Pilates, hiking, spending time with family and friends, seeing new movies, live theater, and writing.
