Hello, I'm Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (MA). I am passionate about helping clients recognize the importance of choice, accountability, and self-worth, empowering them to have more genuine experiences in their lives. I firmly believe that when we feel worthy (and you are worthy), we open up to living as our best selves. By acknowledging the power of choice and owning the ones we've made, we can create new paths for ourselves and move forward with confidence. Therapy, to me, is the process of turning inward in a world that demands constant external attention. When we can do this, we may begin to see symptoms as helpers or messengers rather than ailments. It's a journey of unpacking, seeing, and reframing the more challenging parts of ourselves as supporters of our strength and resilience. In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from a contemplative and mindfulness-based lens. Depending on your needs, I may also incorporate somatic-based interventions (body-based) or Art Therapy if you have the tools available. My specialties include working with teenagers and women's issues, particularly related to anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and identity. Additionally, I provide support for Autism spectrum, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, developmental disabilities, gender identity, life transitions, learning disorders, psychosis/schizophrenia, and spirituality. As an English-speaking virtual therapist, I offer the flexibility of online sessions, making it easier for you to access the support you need from the comfort of your own space. I invite you to reflect on how you're living your life and ask yourself if it aligns with who you are and what you want. Consider the choices you've made to get here and the driving forces behind them. Now, what will be your choice in getting to who you want to be? Let's explore this journey together.
