Amanda Parsons, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Amanda. I have extensive experience in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma resolution, PTSD, sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, women's issues, substance use, attachment issues, family issues, abandonment, self-harm, and ADHD. My approach to therapy is integrative, utilizing cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, attachment, dialectical-behavioral, and solution-focused modalities. This allows us to process the past, envision the future you desire, and create a roadmap to get there together. My counseling style is warm, open, and empathetic. I believe in the importance of a collaborative, trusting relationship in therapy. I understand that it can be challenging and sometimes scary to 'do the work,' but I will walk with you and support you through the process. I firmly believe that you have the strength within you to create a more fulfilling life and the potential to grow from challenges. My goal is to help you identify your strengths so you can build on what already works for you. From my experience as a therapist, I’ve learned that the more effort people put into therapy, the more they get out of it. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My specialties include adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anxiety, ADHD, depression, family relationships, life transitions, PTSD, learning disorders, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and intimate/romantic relationships. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth services for those who prefer virtual sessions. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to a more fulfilling life.
