Getting to know Amber Lloyd

I work hand in hand with my clients to make sure they are getting the most out of therapy. I'm eclectic by nature, which means I will bring in various modalities to see what feels most genuine and authentic to my clients. I meet my clients where they are currently at and make sure we are working toward goals that my clients feels are valid and important to them.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I try to achieve a balance of support and accountability within my sessions. I want to partner with my client, provide appropriate emotional support while also holding them accountable to behaviors and thought processes. I believe therapy should be more accessible and easier for clients and I believe that therapy can look different to everyone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to go at my client's pace. I believe that there needs to be safety and security between a therapist and client before real work can be done. I'm open to working with my client to build that relationship at their pace.
