Hi, I’m Amy, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who works with adults and adolescents ages 16 and up, and also offers executive coaching. I provide trauma-informed care for ADHD, depression, confidence and self-esteem, life transitions, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships, career changes, domestic abuse, and building healthy coping skills. My goal is to focus completely on your needs by cultivating a warm and inviting atmosphere that nurtures the strengths you already possess. My approach is integrative and focused on building self-esteem and courage, helping you gain insight into negative thoughts and emotional or behavioral patterns that can get us sidetracked. I draw from ACT, CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and others, tailoring our work to you rather than following a one-size-fits-all method. I hold a Master’s degree from Loyola University New Orleans and have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to the wellness journey, and I approach our work with warmth, understanding, and empathy. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to connect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the wellness journey, so my first priority is creating a warm, inviting space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you’re an adult or adolescent navigating ADHD, depression, life transitions, or questions of confidence and self-esteem, or a professional seeking executive coaching, our sessions will focus completely on your needs. I approach every conversation with warmth, understanding, and empathy, and I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is to help you recognize and build on the strengths you already have so you can feel empowered to reach your full potential.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will include some information-gathering along with light exploration of what’s bringing you in right now, so I can begin to understand your story and what matters most to you. From there, we’ll work together to build a plan and set goals that feel meaningful to you for our follow-up sessions. I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach, drawing from practices like CBT, ACT, EMDR, mindfulness, and others based on what fits you best. As we go, we’ll check in regularly about how things are feeling and adjust our approach so that our work continues to support your growth.
